Weapons
Best Weapons
The best weapon in Grounded is the one you can repair and that matches the bug in front of you. Here is a practical ladder, not a highlight list.
A simple ladder from day one to the upper yard
Start with a pebblet spear. Add a sprig bow for gnats. The red ant club is the first weapon that feels like control because it stuns. The mosquito needle is the first weapon that keeps you alive mid-swing.
Spider fang daggers are fast and mean. The crossbow is the mid-game answer to bees and mosquitoes. Mint mace is the Fresh club you take to ladybugs and fire ants. Spicy and salty variants cover the rest of the chart.
Late hammers like the black ox hammer exist to break nodes and heavy shells. Do not main a hammer on a wolf spider if you cannot land the charge.
Pick the tool for the insect, not the prettiest model
Reach weapons keep mandibles off your chest. Clubs create openings. Daggers win when you already have block timing. Bows win when the target flies. Our insect guide lists who hates Fresh, Spicy, or Salty.
Aim assistance on Grounded aim helps most on fliers and on strafing soldier ants. Keep it soft. You still need to choose the weapon and the angle.
Repair parts before you leave. A mint mace with ten durability is a stick. Pair weapons with the armor guide so you are not trading a great club for paper clothes.
Loadouts that survive a real loop
Carry one melee that matches today’s biome, one ranged option, and a shield. Pond day: needle plus bow. Hedge day: spicy dagger plus crossbow. Upper yard: Fresh club plus something that can clip a bee.
Recipes live in your game after you analyze parts. Platform storefronts are Grounded on Steam and Grounded on Xbox if you need the official product page. For fight habits, read combat tips.
